While traveling on the cheap in Europe, I experienced budget airline Ryanair’s no-frills business model. A dirt-cheap ticket gets you from A to B - and nothing mroe. Not a checked bag, refreshments, nor the right to change your flight plans without a heavy fee. Now, Ryanair has proposed charging £1 ($1.51) to use the bathroom and adding £5 “vertical seats” to the back of their planes. A spokesman for Great Britain’s Civil Aviation Authority told The Daily Telegraph the plans will struggle to pass safety standards. Here’s to this working out! Standing aside, I would love $8 tickets! And I would use the WC in the terminal before boarding.
