In the final moments of his team’s World Cup quarterfinal against Ghana, Uruguay striker Luis Suarez made arguably the biggest play of the tournament. With the ball flying toward his team’s net, Suarez intensionally, he says, blocked the ball with his hands, preventing a sure goal. He was ejected and Ghana was awarded a penalty kick, which they missed. Uruguay would win in penalty kicks.
